Bee Hive Base

These 10 frame beehive bases are made from New Zealand pine and 304 stainless steel.

The bases feature a mesh base for hive health, ventilation and small hive beatle management. The bases also have a removable draw tray to help trap small hive beatles. The bees chase the beatles around the hive and they fall through the mesh bottom. The beetles can be trapped by using chux cloth, oil or diatomaceous earth (check regulations in your state) in the removable tray drawer.

The removeable tray is also suitable for placement of a sticky grid mat for the monitoring of Varroa Mite.
